Yeah my exhaust note got deeper with the CAI.

Why didn't you go with JLT2 or C&L? They tend to give the best performance! The Airaid is a good system though. I thought about it before tuning!

Performance, with my set up, pretty much translates to a mild increase in throttle response, from both a stand still and travel speeds. She pulls a little better on the highway. The one thing I was able to do after the install, which may or may not be a contributing facter, is instead of chirping gears from 1st to 2nd, I was able to cut the tires loose. Now I may have very well been able to do is before the CAI install, but I don't often get into her. I can't wait to get my SCT tuner installed. I hope to see a better gains.

I am not looking to modify the car to the extent it is going to void my warranty, intake and exhaustwill just fine for now. I just was wondering about the two intakes exclusively, and I'm aware of the venturi system integrated in the Airaid system for heavier modified applications. If I want to go 200mph I will take my modified 2004 GSXR-1000 out for a spin.

What they are saying is don't waste your money on either one. They are just a placebo effect and offer no bang for your buck.

Airaid cost me $250.00. I figured for the price vs. performance, Airaid would do just fine.

Ok, It wasless expensivethan the BBK, K&N,C&L, Typhoon, Roush, Power FLow, Ford and Steedaintake systems. With all the CAI systems, realistacly, you can expect to see simmilar gain in performance. Now we're splitting hairs, I don't think I did too bad.

I get your point there, and as I said I read a lot about the Airaid and it's a good one, among the best!

Keep us updated on how you like the car after the tune
