Sal, stock exhaust will work fine. If you change anything now remember this, it will get much louder when you supercharge. I'm running an off road X-pipe with stock mufflers, it's really loud when i get on it. Hey Hammy, you never invited me to the boost lounge, what up with that? I've been good, I drank beer and watched football today and everything..........

Any exhaust will work. It is personal preference IMHO. H-pipes are nice and they have a nice deep tone, x-pipes might get you a couple more hp and a "different" sound. I will say raspy but others might naysay that but its my opinion. The stock headers are fine unless you want to track the car and maximize HP but IMO there is a limit our motors can withstand and most agree that it is 450RWHP. Not saying that higher numbers the motor wont survive the HP but it will stress the internals more in the long (or short) run.

Hey guys thanks for the replys..
Is it unrealistic to get the stock motor near 500 rwhp and survivable ??? with stock internals...
Its a daily driver but a low mileage car...maybe 9,000 a year max, getting on it to the shift points maybe once or twice a week.....and not really any track time, meaning I might hit the track once or twicea year at best and no slicks involved.
Thanks

RE: blower with what type of exhaust.
It is possible but from what I am learning, but not recommended. Besides the recommended building up of the engine internals for over 450 hp you will need some exta items as well, like a new fuel pump or boost-a-pump, traction goodies, etc. If you wont be running it in the extremes, youll be better off not pushing it in the extremes, especially when the 450 rwhp will prove to be noticably plenty.

RE: blower with what type of exhaust.
I started out with Flowmaster Mufflers, Pypes O/R H pipe, stock exhaust manifolds (no headers). Ended up switching back to the stock mufflers because it was annoyingly loud. Granted I think the Flows were rusted out on the inside (due to driving it for 2 winters) but I think the new combo hits it just right. Its slightly louder at idle than stock but more throaty and when you get on it, it sounds incredible. I have yet to have anyone say it sounds anything other than pure sex ...
