Default Opinions on this shift **** please...

I've been thinking of buying one of these...

...It would be going on my Hurst shifter. I like the chrome/polished look, kinka like the shifter on Ferrari's minus the gated plate.

Here is another one that I've been looking at that is much more expensive...

...obviously I'm reluctant to spend close to $100 on a shift ****.

I like the second (more expensive) one - they even show a pic of it mounted on a Hurst handle. I'd go with the satin finish - can't help but thinking the polished finish would look smudged all the time. That's my $.02.

Don't get the first one. I did and chunked it. Cheap looking in my opinion.

Damn dude, I would have bought it off you...

What was so cheap looking about it? Did the finish flake off or anything? I like it because its cheaper, and its smaller. My hands aren't huge and I think the size of the 2nd one may get annoying.

I'll check tonight it might still be under my work bench at home. If I got it you can have it. I wouldn't sell it to anybody thats for sure. It doesn't thred on to the shifter. It has a set screw in the side. It also appeared to be cheap tin with a chrome type polish on it.

It looked junky and I just knew it was going to make a horrible vibration. I didn't even take it out of the package.

The stock shifter that came in my 07 was horrible. Some kind of aluminum-ish penile looking thing. I should have grabbed the shifter from the 05 but didn't think that a horrible **** would come with the new one.

I bought this one which was just like the old one. Much nicer and leather trimmed.

Course, none of these will look good with a long non booted shifter... I still have that old junker if anyone wants to buy it.
