Default Stupid Tuner question

I was looking at the diablosport Predator tuner, I have 2007 GT and when I was on there website I was looking at canned tunes that are included, and they have changed from 2006, which make perfect sense to me, what are the Performance 95mm MAF tune and the 2.73 pulley/ 95mm MAF tunes Here are the tunes taken from their website:

In 2006 they were:
Performance Tune for87 octane
Performance Tune for 91 octane
Performance Tune for 93 octane

In 2007 they are:

[*]
Performance Tune for 93 octane

[*]
Performance 95mm MAF tune

[*]
2.73 pulley/ 95mm MAF tune

Default RE: Stupid Tuner question

It comes with a lot of tunes preloaded. A few tunes for higher octane fuels on a stock car, tunes for higher octane fuels with most of the major intake makes, and some tunes for a few intakes running nitrous.

IIRC, it doesn't come with any 93Octane tunes, only 91Octane. But if you look around on their support forum there is a post that tells you how to advance the timing for 93Octane.

If you're buying one, just remember that the U7140 is for 2005-2006 Mustangs, and the U7145 is for 2007-2008 Mustangs. The U7140 WILL NOT work with 2007+ Mustangs.

I found out the hard way that I need the U7145, thanks for the warning. Nowthe 93 Performance octane tune makes sense to me. But what at the other 2 advertised tunes used for? Those tunes being the Performance 95mm MAF tune and the 2.73 pulley/ 95mm MAF tune

The 2.73 pulley tune is probably for the GT500.

Default RE: Stupid Tuner question

The 2.73pulley isfor the GT500, the only pre loaded tune used on the GT would be the 93 octane, to get the 91 & 87 performance tune I have to use the tuner to back off the timing. Besides the timing being adjusted in the performance, does anyone what other "performance" adjustments have been made?

I don't know, you might have to contact Diablosport on that one. I know that the throttle response is improved, it removes most of the throttle lag that the stock tune has.

Don't waste your money.
Go for a custom tune.

You'll need the tuner, to load a custom tune. The canned Diablo tunes aren't bad, they do improve the stock tune alot. But, there is still alot of room for improvement, thats where Bamachips comes in.

Yeah, I know that. But why not get the tuner from a custom tune provider (Bama or Brenspeed ...).
And get an intake with that (JLT or C&L)
