Installing the meter4it sequentials/chase set likely. It will take some time. Best idea may be to just yank out that entire side piece. After screwing around for 30 mins, just did that, and the rest of teh install was a breeze
Actually, that's what I did. I removed the door jam piece and the side piece, and then I was able to basically just yank the little cover off. I don't really see a need for it since there's a cover in the side piece, so I just left it off.

Glad mine was a plug in type. I never touched any fuses....just put in the new harness.
Yeah, I debated getting a prewired type, but none of them have the chase feature, which I think is cooler. It did make me nervous cutting into the wiring. But, hey, no pain, no gain, right? [:-] I'm glad the installation is done. It was a bit of a pain.

I'm confused. What's the "chase feature"?

Yeah, the chase is even better than the sequentials, and the good thing about the meter4it kit is that it comes with a main "brain" box that will let you adjust both the speed of the lights flashing, as well as let you switch between light options such as chase, sequential, or regular. I plan on getting this kit real soon.

Thank you, Hammeron! Bless you and your children for a hundred generations! I was finally able to get it off. And the sequentials worked after I fixed one bad connection.

That's what I love about this forum. You can get help when you need it.
Hey wthalliii, the connection you are talking about....was it one of the red wires switched?
When my husband and I installed and finished we checked them out and they were going
" middle light, insidelight and then the outside light ". It was jacked ! He took it apart again and figured out one of the red wires were in the wrong spot. I thought the directions could of been written better..and oh yeah.....That fuse box cover was a Bit*h to get off !!!!!! Glad you got it done, and I bet you will love them, we do !!
