i have the c&l racing w/sct combo, i love it! I dont know what the exact hp gain is but its something you can definately feel. Youll be amazed that you actually liked your car when it was stock lol
as for exhaust i went to a speed shop to ask the same thing, it really depends on how loud you want it as to which combo you would get..
try youtube for some videos, i know its not the same but itll give you a clue. I love loud but i dont want to sound like a chevy or a ricer and was going for more of a 5.0 sound. He suggested long tubes with borla exhaust, super loud- get the stingers. Its all your preference, alot of people have SLP and Flowmasters and love them.
maybe its just me, but i could hear a difference in the stock exhaust after the c&l/tune... i still want exhaust, but im not obessing about it as bad since it sounds ok now.

Why not just get an xcal and save a little money that way? As far as cai, they pretty much all make comparable numbers. Try to find one that you like how it looks under the hood and the quality used in its parts. C&L racer's a good intake. May not be the best choice for intake though if you plan to keep engine n/a, and stock internals. When you say nice and clean? How could you better descibe? Emissions legal, so that rules out offroad pipes, longtubes. So are you just looking to add a set of axlebacks? These cars don't get loud like earlier models. Especially when you have the cats on. Est. C&l racer and custom sct 93 octane tune = should see around 20 rwhp.I was running an o/r h and no axlebacks. Now that was loud. Not musclecar loud, just kinda obnoxious loud. The tone wasn't good at all. Later added stingers and it's way too quiet. And get that stupid trumpeting around 2500.

The trumpeting on stingers only occurs if you have an off road pipe. Mine sound great and I ALWAYS get compliments on it. It's very quiet and deep at idle, and purrs up nicely when driving, but they will also scream deeply when you get into the gas. They perform exactly the way you want them to. The only drawback to many mufflers (stingers included) is the resonating drone you get in the cabin at certain speeds and certain rpms. This will depend on your gear ratio also. It doesn't bother me that much. If I have a headache at the time, it bothers me a little more, but I just shift to another gear and it's gone. Trust me though...You will not find a better sounding exhaust than Borla Stingers (or FRPP Stingers...the Ford Racing version...made by Borla).
