The Saleenator is back... well sort of :)
So after 2 months of waiting on Allstate, they finally decided to total the Saleenator.
I was happy for about a day until I found out that they're paying off Ford first and then give me the difference.
Anyway, the new saleenator starts the journey:
2008 GT black on black
features I like:
IUP with mycolor and ambient lighting
- 17' bullits
- 3.55 limited slip
- Sirius satellite
Features I don't like:
- rear spoiler delete
- silver dash trim
Before you start bashing me about why I got if it had those 2 features I don't like... let me just say it was the only black on black Premium GT I could find in Chicago on a 50 mi radius.
That being said, I had to go for the stick this time, just to see what everybody else was bragging about.
I haven't driven a stick shift for about 6 years now but after a day of driving it's all coming back.
I put about 100 mi on it yesterday and can't wait to start modding this baby.
It seems stronger than the auto and I can't wait to see what it feels like with the s/c
I still have the saleen s/c, injectors and steeda CAI. everything elsewas left on the wreck. It wasn't worth pulling them out and replacing them with stock parts.
Let me know what you guys think.
I'll post pics soon.

Looks like you get to start from scratch again... What part of Chicago are you from? I live in the south suburbs and am all over the place for various mustang events. I'm suprised I haven't seen you around.
