Default BMR Tubular LCAs - a couple questions

So my LCAs came today, just a few questions:

1. The instructions say it has to be supported by the axle - does it really matter where are long as the suspension is hanging freely?

2. Brake cables...what's the best way to reinstall them?

Thanks...looking foreword to seeing how they work out...especially once my CAI/Tune get here!

I used zip ties and tied them to the LCA's. I supported the car with the frame rails, so I could move the rear suspension around to get them lined up. If you're using the rear end as the support point, it'll be hard to get the lca's to bolt up.

Thanks a lot. The instructions said use the axle, but I thought the frame rails would be easier...

You need to support the axle when you grease the bushings

I supported via the axl, about 6-12in from the pumpkin and useda floor jack to align the bolt holes. Installation was cake.

Thanks for the advice. I was just at the store and the guy working there really confused me. He said I needed to put tension on the springs through the axle so they don't fly off when I remove the stock LCA's....this is compeltely wrong right? WTF is he talking about?

Is it a better idea to support via the frame or the axle? Where on the frame or where on the axle?

Put the jackstands on the frame, and put the jack under the pumpkin. Then, if you need to jack the suspension up into the car to get the bolts in, you can. It's easier that way.
