Default slicks or drag radials

What brand, size slicks or drag radials work best on a gt that has only a few mods.I have been running 13.3 and I believe with the right tires i can go 12 :90's.What would be a good starting point for air pressure.I am guessing something like MT ET drag radial 26x10 0n a 17' wheel.

well first off, drag radials are sized like passenger tires, ie a p275/40r17. It's the bias tires that are sized the way the wrote in your post.

second, yeah my mickey thompson et drag radials hook like crazy. They would sooner break a major driveline component than spin, even with a five grand launch or even a redline launch. Don't require much of a burnout either, maybe 5 seconds at 30mph.

If you're in Florida, they're for sale, along with 17x8 takeoffs and a set a Nitto DR's the same size

I'm running 275/40/17 hoosier dr's. First time I ever had a pair but there pretty good they cut 6 tenths off my time and extremely fun on the street.

slicks will actually do a better job at the track and are also lighter than the drag radials. that being said, I have pulled numerous 1.55 60's on my drag radials.

You're also putting alot more power to the ground.

I agree with Richee. I run Goodyear drag radial 275/40/17 and went from 2.0-2.2 60's to 1.8's on a 5k launch.
best runs before the drag radials were 13.3 now my best is 13.03-13.1

my point was that youwould most likely be faster with the actual slicks, but you can definately get the drag radials to hook up as well.
