99.9% of guys that used FRPP Gears, had Zero issues after they got them. Many guys complained of problems with their Motive Gears. In truth it comes down to the installer knowing what he's doing, but I would strongly advise you to get the FRPP 's

Yes, you should get the kit and the bearings. You want to start fresh with all of it. The kit comes with the set of shims that you will need.
