STS Single Turbo Install pics
ALthough it won't be complete and delivered until tomorrow at the earliest, I was able to snap some photos you guys were asking for.
Here's the engine compartment. Very clean. You can see where they mounted the MAFIA on the strut tower. What you can't see are the new injectors and the BOV.
This is the high flow oil pump. I can turn it on and off as I desire. Supposed to be used under heavy driving or at the track.
Which exhaust tip would you pick?? Duh that's easy. The STS kit came with the tiny pipe that the installer didn't care for. So he ordered these and will be putting them on instead.
Intercooler. A new design (in the interior) that is supposed to much more efficent then years past.
This is what STS wanted to use to connect the two pipes together that run to the turbo. It's ugly, inefficent and robs power.
This is what the shop fabricated, without my asking and for no charge. Much more efficent, it's welded and will make better sound (so they say). STS is excited to see a picture of it. Apparently they have been looking for a solution to the H pipe and are happy these took the time to do it right.
Here's the baby in the back. The turbo, along with all the other pipes and connection in the main brain of the power producer. The waste gate is at the top right.
The gauge pod and boost controler are not installed yet. The gaugepod will be here tomorrow and they should have itdone by then. The kit will have a 5 lbs spring put in with the boost controler tuning it up to 8-8.5 as I need it. The only bummer thing about it being done tomorrow is it's going to rain tonight and for the next few days. Oh well. I don't have to work until Monday so no biggie.

So, will there be only one exhaust pipe coming out the back now?

If you go to STS.com they have some awesome sounds clips of what it will sound like. Mine will be slightly different sounding do to the X pipe and the headers but we'll see.

Thanks. Anything look familiar to you? The X-pipe configuration they did was pretty cool I thought. What PSI are you running? Did you get the twin set up yet?
