I just put a GT takeoff on my V6 this last weekend. It is definitely louder than the stock muffler but I've got to say it isn't what I was expecting. My only experience with "loud" exhaust was on a F150 pickup I had a few years back. It was a V8 and had dual exhaust. It had a very deep rumble to it. In my opinon the single GT muffler on my V6 only sounds good when I step into it. I guess I was hoping it would sound similar to my truck but it doesn't. I'm hoping to get duals on my Mustang using the other GT takeoff. Maybe that will come closer to the sound.
It won't. My wife's 4.0L/auto vert has the single GT take-off, while my 4.0/5spd coupe has dual take-offs with an x-pipe. My car is only slightly louder than hers. Personally, I like how they sound (especially with the cnvertible top down). But if you are unahppy with a single take-off, then don't expect a huge "improvement" with a 2nd one.

I should add that the muffler will break in and become deeper, but maybe not as much as you are looking for.

You bet. That was the price in Febuary when I won one.
They abounded then. Dont know about now.
S/H was $20 so go figure. $25 USPS MO
got mine to my door from Kansas.
Brand new, less than 200 miles, GT M/T right hand side, OEM take-off.

The GT A/T muffs have a different part # than the GT M/T muff.
I had a A/T and it sucked. I got a M/T takeoff and it was worth
the $30. More giddy up and go with a CAI installed also. Then
you need a tune..... and some headers.... and hi flow cats....
and a X-Pipe.....

Several people think there is a difference in the AT vs the MT, just because they have a different part number. Personally I don't see why there would be a difference, but the choise is yours.
