17..18..19..or 20'z
Ive got 07 v6 auto mustang with the pony package wheels and was wanting to upgrade to some new wheels and tires, but I drive about 115 miles a day. Ive heard that the 20's are rough riding so anyone have somesuggestions. I drive on the interstate for most of my commute. Some say 20's are fine others say no, whats the verdict? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really like the way the 20's look.
thanks,

You'll not get a consensus on this, that's for sure.
I just replaced my 18's with different, wider 18's and lowered it. I notice quite a difference in ride now that it's lowered. If my car was a daily driver like yours, I'd try to drive a lowered car on 20's before I went that route.

I'll try to give you a chart with pros/cons of each, figure out where you stand
17: strip performance (lots of sidewall), ride comfort, availability of tires, old school muscle look
18: compromise between straight line performance and style, enough sidewall for hard launches with sticky tires but don’t expect crazy 60’ times, acceptable ride comfort, relatively common tire sizes
19: probably best bet for road racing/corner carving performance if used with a lightweight rim, not for strip use, hard to find tires, ride comfort begins to tank, a pot hole can wreck your day
20: best modern look, ride comfort is noticeably affected, bent rims become a reality
Personally I’m waiting for a torque thrust style 17x10 wheel to come out. I’d owned two cars that had the biggest rims possible and I’ll never go low profile on a daily driver or even a weekend cruiser again. It was just one headache after another. Some will argue differently

The majority, if not all 20`s are performance oriented tires that give very low tread mileage, for a lot of people here that`s not a consideration. But since you drive 600+ miles a week the expense
could be considerable. Possibly 2 sets of tires per year.
