Im finally part of the crew, need help with mods
Well after weeks and weeks of trying to find the car, and weeks and weeks of drueling over all of yours, I finally own one, I bought this car from my living room signed the papers and all (talk about a nice dealership ). I bought a new 07 GT, plane jane. It has 3.55 gears and a manual tranny so the canvas has been laid. My wife is not hppy with the idea of me modding this thing out so my mods have to be well thought out and carefully planned. First thing I am eyeballing is some exhaust. I like loud but not ricer loud. Im wanting a low rumble you know typical muscle car sound,is there anything bad to say about theSLP loudmouths axlebacks. I really like the sound of these, also where is the cheapest you guys have seen these. I remember reading something about ford changing the hangers so what do I need to check before I order a set. My list also includes some type of hood scoop (not sure on yet still looking for options) 1/4 louvres, side scoops CAI and some new wheels. Im open to suggestions on all this stuff as I am not aware of all the websites that offer these things just yet. Oh yeah by the way this is my first time owning a ford and Im really loving this *****... Ill post pics of her as soon as I can find the time to give her a bath...

Yeah my wife tells me I have OCD with my buying habits and shes trying to get me to stop. I dont know why but I can never leave a car stock. Its something that urks me until I change it as Im sure most of you guys are the same way so in a way this is kind of like a supprort group for modders that need help, only instead of getting help to stop buying we come here to get help to buy LOL

Welcome, you're going to love it. I love my stock exhaust..and with the CAI/tune
it got much louder and deeper. My neighbors tell me they love the sound of the
exhaust, they can't believe it's stock. My next door neighbors say they hear me
start it up every morning. So, I'd get the tune 1st..then decide on whether you need
new exhaust or not. Just my .02. But not to knock a new exhaust setup, but I have
not heard any S197 that sounds like any of my old muscle cars. I loved the way my
old small block chevys sounded when cammed (sorry..i had 2 '65's and a '68 chevelle
a '67 camaro. All were pretty much your standard 350 bored .30 over, 10:1, crane cam,
headers, hi-rise and holly 650 dbl pumper and the infamous double camel hump heads.
I know you old guys know what I'm talking about. Wow, sure went on a rant there...
