it was a cake walk. it took an hour working slowly. i had the luxury of a lift, so i just supported the trasn w/a bottle jack and removed the bolts for the right side of the trans crossmember. its possible to install it without doing this, but its just 2 bolts and it slides in so much easier.

totally easy...

I read that originally as "I supported the trans with a "Bottle Of Jack"

Thats one strong whiskey! I think I'll have one! Damn, only got Makers Mark...

supported the trans with a bottle jack, while drinking a bottle of jack, installing a shifter one handed, smoking a cig, and talking on the phone all at the same time...

lol

steeda, i've heard is slightly better as far as a functional high performance shifter (ex..steeda Tri-ax), but the hurst is defenatly sweet and in my opinion looks the best. and the throw is awesome. positive feeling gear changes, tight but not too tight, and a pleasure to look at.

and the throw reduction is perfect! just slightly more than a flick of the wrist and your done and into the next gear. and also its more ergonomically located... if you notice with the stock shifteryou have to, for one, "reach" for 5th gear. and also it wasn't a very natural position (at least for my tall a$$) to have my hand on the shifter while cruising. the hurst corrects all that.
