Dude, he has a V6 05 mustang and he thinks he can beat every other GT and keep up with 05 GTs. He lives in a serious fantasy world. What he does not seem to realize is that in actuality you could beat him short shifting.

I used to have a sig that stated all my mods. Then i started talking to 05 owners on this forum, and at my dealership. They think... well. You can read my post i put up in this forum about 05 owners. And still after all my mods think they can whoop me cause i dont have PI heads. lol. And if i did get PI heads, they would get an even worse *** whopping. But i dont go around saying stuff like that. And i have never been beaten by a honda or a 05 Gt. lol. I put that in there making fun of all the people who think the 96-98 GT's are always going to be slow and you cant mod them. lol.

In any case, it isnt cool to down somebody because they own an older car. The 98s were not fast, but in all honesty if I was going to go down the modular route again I would have gotten a 98. El cheapo payment, and if your gonna do cams/headwork anyway why not start there?

i think that was 14.0'ish WITHOUT nitrous. Acer has less mods than casper with no nitrous and he's probably running a 14.0 even. so i'm sure casper is well in the 13s.

Wow, this is the nicest thing i have ever read from 2000gt4.6.... Every time i post you usually fight me. lol. Or so to speak. But this time im happy for you.
Yeah, real close to 13's is correct.... without the nitrous. Thanks Nanaki... I live here in beautiful NH ( NOT) so i have to wait for the snow to clear up and our track to finish getting rebuilt. Then after that i'll post my time With nitrous.
I bought the 98 because i love the way they look, and because exactly what you said. I paid 7k for a car that was perfect in my opinion. An old man from florida, friends with the owner of my dealership. 30k miles, beautiful shape. I paid the car off in 1 year. And now im happy.

The point is that the Mustang has endured a long time thru some terrible looking body styles and now it's back. There's no need to bash the car or it's owners. The older cars are really cheap and probably a good buy at this time. I wouldn't mind having a 1992 5.0 Notch Back. It wasn't a bad looking car. It had some Mustang styling points and it was fast.

Casper98GT,
Thanks for posting about those bolts. I have been wondering about what I thought was an exhaust problem or maybe some missing insulation. I put it on the lift tonight and sure enough those bolts are missing. All I have in my shop is metric so I'll buy a couple tomorrow and take care of this noise.
thanks again
John

I wish the 04s did somthing for me, but I just don't like the looks.. I would love to save some cash, and Ford also has 0% for 60 months on the 04s.
I'm very close to buying an 05 GT,,, just don't know if I want to spend that much money for a car I'm sure will lose it's value drastically next body style change.

17k for an 04? the dealers here are letting them go as low as 16k and aren't having any luck. meanwhile, the 05 v6s are going for about 21k. i'd rather save a few bucks than get bragging rights on owning the new fad.
