My guess is a fouled plugs(s) or a bad 02 sensor. Lately I have been hearing more and more upstream 02 sensors going south.
(the 'upstream' are the 02 sensors with the green wrap)

Thanks guys...

Right now I'm leaning towards IAC. I'm going to mess with it tonight, maybe clean it, though I'll need an electrical cleaner of some sort.

I'm also thinking alternator maybe? Fluctuating RPMs + dead battery maybe? We'll see if this brand new battery dies quickly.

I'll get a new air filter, good suggestion. Don't like my competancy in my oiling skills.

Upstream O2 sensors, I might replace those soon. 2 x $45 at checkers. But I notice they are turned off in my b@ma tune, what exactly does that mean?

ANNNyyyyways thanks for all your help! It could be a jillion different things as we're discovering.

upstream should not be shut off....they are the main sensors that the car needs....the downstream are shut off perhaps though

No IAC on our cars?? Hmmm... Why does autozone sell IAC motors for our cars then, among other places. Great now I'm more confused.

Have you checked the mass air flow sensor like somone suggested? If it's dirty it would do the same things. Afraid to touch the spark plugs because you don't want to break them? Okay mr lok-tite.

Correct. Your car would not run without the upstream 02 sensors. Do you have a tuner? You can check if your sensors are the cause by monitoring a/f spikes during the hesitation...

Also what is your a/f at idle during the hesitation. This info will tell me a lot. Usually spark plugs show there first signs of fouling on the big end and not at idle.

tHitting the gas while already going at normal speed doesn't have a problem or any hesitation, nor does hitting the gas at low RPM either for that matter
yeah but i was asking about idle but putting it into higher rpm and try to be steady @ lets say 2500... does it keep it on 2500 or goes around?? Koz if not, it is typical symptom of exhaust problem

anyway, let us know
