my buddy just got a cool job at maroonie ford downtown fort lauderdale. they had like a dozen saleens and three parnelli jones'. major saleen lot.

pics soon, but i gotta get dinner.

anyway, i drove a supercharged saleen, and wasnt terribly impressed, however i saw some cool stuff.

they had a heritage saleen mustang which had an interesting mix of body kit parts, and a neat looking quad exhaust.

they had a saleen supercharged w/ a pracrically naked girl airbrushed on the hood and flames, and lambo doors.

they had a few gt500's and i never knew this, but they come w/ 3.31 gears, no wonder they feel sluggish.

my favorite by far was the parnelli jones saleens they had. i dont know if any of you guys know this, but the engine is bored out to 5.0 and it has all forged internals. it makes 400 flywheel hp NA, but it begs for a blower (so long as you know how to get it back to stock so as not to ruin its collectors value if anyone checks). i mean the car has forged internals, why? the car itself was beautiful too, much better looking inperson. the ultra wide tip pipes were sick looking too!

Wouldnt it be nice for Saleen to put a blower of their own on the P.J. Stang? They built the motor up so they know what would be the best blower upgrade to support it and being it would be offered from Saleen itself, there is your heritage value. And Im sure there would be takers out there!

But seriously, the GT500's got 3.31 gears?!! The Shelby GT has 3.73's, why wouldn't they upgrade the GT500?

They do put a blower on the 5.0L forged engine.....its called the 600+ HP Extreme.

i took one of the saleen w/ airbrushed hood, and one of the heritage saleen w/ quad exhausts. i figured everyone's already seen the PJ mustang. i'll take another trip there in the near future w/ a high quality camera and get tons of pics! anyway, im gonna load them into the next post in two seconds.

theres the saleen w/ custom paint, and theres the left side of the heritage, exhaust on right side is the same, so its a quad.

you sure? i know they make a saleen, saleen supercharged, and saleen extreme which has 550+ HP. the extreme has forged internals, but i dont think its a 5.0.

btw, nice rims!
