RE: help out with wheelspin / wheel hop
You are either
1= too abrupt with the clutch
2= giving it too much gas
3= running bald tires
I get wheel hop sometimes when i do either 1 or 2
but, if i wind it up to 4k and uncork one, the wheels will spin fast and hard with next to no hop at all
adjust your driving style in the rain

wider tires will make it easier to spin and hydro plane on wet pavement

.. also, i have noticed that my wheel hop has diminished greatly since the additions of my 20's. I have 275 mm tires in the rear which probably helps (perhaps it might have something to do with weight).
let the experts chime in....

Im not that savi when it comes to suspension, will LCA's work with a suspension kit such as Saleen's?? Are they compatible?? Do they do anything to the ride height of the vehicle??

RE: help out with wheelspin / wheel hop
The wider the tire, the flater the contact patch, thus sitting on top of the water. Look at average everyday grocery getter tires, say a 195/70-r16, look at the contact patch, its kind of U shape. So it can cut through the water to the pavement. Its a narrow tire. Take a 275/50/18 tire, its wider and flater, sitting on top of the water. More likely to hydroplane and spin.
