Isn't that a "poser" thing to do?

Just curious.. not trying to flame.. but converting a GT into a SS is as bad as making a v6 look like a GT.. except there is a much bigger performance gap between the GT and the SS than there is between the v6 and the GT.

I love the look though.. especially the red and black.

I personaly don't see it as being a poser thing at all... it's more of just taking a good foundation (stock mustang GT/ V6) and making it look a little better appearance wise (Super Snake, GT500, etc.)... nothing wrong with wanting to upgrade a little ~ J

Oh.. I totally agree. If I had the cash.. that's the look I would go for. Just asking the question though.. this issue seems to come up ever so often, and was curious about what peoples threshold was with this issue.

If it appealed to me, I wouldn't go so far as to badge it or represent it as a GT500.

I think most people would say that as long as you don't go slapping Super Snake, GT500, or other such "poser" emblems on it, then it's nothing more than a hood swap, or whatever.

I think I want the hood and I agree that the SS or KR markings should be left off the car. I deleted GT 500 from the side stripe and have the plain snake gas cap. I think it looks a lot better and I don't want to present the car as a real Shelby. I did love the look of the GT 500, thought the dealer surcharge was too high and made my own. The GT 500 hood is kind of lame though, given all the '68 Shelby design hoopla that has surrounded this mustang since the first concept came out.

This poser topic will never die. I just love it.

I have been seriously considering getting rid of my rims and going for a set of these alcoa rims. I might get the hood but through trufiber. It looks nice though. If I had that kind of extra cash, Id get one. But I dont'[&:], so I wont.
