Ordered a torquue converter from jdsperformance.com on the 17th of october for $676 + shipping. Its been a week now and i dont know anything about my order status. Tried contacting them by email(3 days ago)but no reply. What should i do?
In addition the transaction took $697 dollars from my account for this order. That is 21 dollars extra. R they tax?

you see im not from the states and i dont know why they charged me 21 bucks extra.
Iorder stuff and have then sent to my mailing address in new york providedbyaramex shipping service.

I have not heard of them. Looks like they charged you $21 for shipping. I wouldn't worry about the one-week thing though. Some companies take a while. Wait another week and see what happens, then try calling them again.

Also, this item may get hung up in customs...

I would hope that responding to an e-mail from a customer could be accomplished in less than 3 days.
Everybody sells parts, and with the internet, "customer service" is the only thing that sets a company above the others.

I would give it a little time. Depending on the t/c, they may be custom made to your specs which can take some time.

I have heard of them. They have been around for a while. I never did business with them, so I can't say much about their service. Try calling them, and let us know what happens.
