I have a problem with the gas peddle sticking,but not all the time. The car starts getting sluggish until the peddle half throttle or more. Then a few days later it sticks. The auto trans has a thump in it when put in drive. The car been put on a computer and showed ok.Dealer said nothing wrong. They haven't been 80 mls per hr around a 25 mph curve trying to reach down and pull the pedal back up.!
help me.!!!

i have an 05 and it makes a little thump when i put it into drive, and reverse from park. ive had the accelerator stick once, it almost made me crash! scariest moment driving that car. i was going around a turn and its a pretty sharp turn and the accelerator stuck so my backend slid out. i pulled through it then pulled off to the side for a second to catch my breath.

Happened to me, lost a tire from hitting a curb @ 25 MPH and dented my quarter panel.

If the gas pedal is mechanically getting stuck (as opposed to sluggish drive by wire response), I'd replace the pedal assembly ASAP! The good news is that they're not terribly expensive (I recall under $100, maybe even closer to $50), and since it's drive by wire, it's one electrical plug and a couple of bolts. Just be sure to have the battery disconnected when installing..

If the dealer knew that the pedal was mechanically sticking and they didn't replace it, they need to be shot IMO.
