Didn't pass NYS Inspection
 

I drove back from Florida a few days ago and when I got home I re-tuned my car with my predator tuner... Next day I went to get my car inspected so I can get a new sticker and the machines at the place couldnt read my O2 sensor and my cat conv. So they couldnt pass me... The guy told me to drive around for 30miles cuz sometimes it resets but it didnt... Any help?

your 02s are shut off....you can turn them back on with the tuner

how much driving did you do? when you reload the tune, it clears all memory in the pcm. the car probably needs some time to pass the catalyst and O2 monitors

Yea the custom tune is by evolution performance... i had it last year when i did inspection with no problem... i drove about 50miles with it since the tune and their computers still cant read the sensors

+1 They are more then likly turned off... I know that mine are too

put the stock backup in then take it back.

It's one of two things: your O2 sensors are turned off (use the tuner to turn them back on) OR your tune has inadvertantly got the emission monitors turned off. It took my dyno tuner a bit of sleuthing through a long list of adjustable parameters before he found the emission monitor issue--he claims that a tune baseline update sent to him from SCT had these set OFF by default, and they should have been on. Once that switch was fixed, an hours worth of driving was enough to set the monitors. He created a tune for me to use from now on for all emission tests...

Anyone know if b@m@ turns off your o2 sensors? Will be good to know for when I have to go in for emmissions in a few years.

This might be a dum question but I went through the options and I cant see how to turn the sensors back on... I have the xcal2... Can anyone tell me how to do that... Thanks
