Default RE: Break in period?

The salesman didn't plan on buying it did he?

I hope all is well with it and nothing happened, I just ask myself, is it worth it? sure everything is fine, but just the lingering question in the back of my mind would drive me bonkers... did I hurt it? Is it ok? Did I rob 10k from its life? are the rings seating correctly or did I cause a hot spot? on and on...
no thx, I can wait 1 month.

Default RE: Break in period?

My brother and his best friend did an experiment when they both ordered new "68 GTO'S together from the same dealer. The cars were consecutive off the line. Brother didn't do the break in period stuff, he flogged the s--t out of that car from mile one. His buddy broke in as recommended. The flogged car was always faster, quicker and more responsive to the throttle. Everyone always said it was the fastest stock '68 goat they'd ever seen. We never had any problems with it and was over 100K when it was totaled by a little old lady pulling out in front of it. I always run 'em in like crazy and they run faster than their stable mates.. Never had a problem with one yet over in 30 years. Seems to knock the microscopic pattern off the rings better and makes them smoother and seat better. Less friction . more power. better compression.. I just did the same thing with my new Victory Kingpin motorcycle and '05 GT 5 speed.

That moron in the video reallys needs to have the crap kicked out of him. An absolutley horrible thing to do to a very nice car. I hope he does NOT have the ability to reproduce. The world already has enough idiots like him.
