Default Magnaflow Mid Mufflers

Thought some people might find this interesting. Especially for any SLP users running an O/R mid pipe and think its just too loud. I originally put in a set of Classic Chambered Powersticks. They are 3.5 round, and were aggressive sounding, but not deep enough. I thought they were at first but it quickly wore off. Plus with my MRT catted H, my 5:00 am startups were a bit annoying for my neighbors at my Condo.

So I was kicking the idea around of using the Magnaflow's universal 4in round, part #10436. So I bought a set last week and had them installed last night. All I can say is WOW. Deepest sound I've heard yet. As is very very close the classic 2v sound we all like. I was concerned about clearance issues but once they were up in there everything was fine. These are the same kind Cervinis for their side exit exhaust, but the ones I bought were a touch longer. These are 22in long, 28in overall.

Take a look at the pictures below

Comparison between my Powersticks and the new Magnaflow

Both in place

I've chose to have them clamped vs welded for now. It looks tacky but nobody is going to be looking underneath my car but me. I'll will definately get sound clips posted up this weekend for everyone.

I have the 18" magnaflow glasspacks in the mid muffler area because my O/R H-pipe with Bassani SS Race axlebacks was just too loud. Really makes a difference with the trumpeting.

Mydaily "[:@]stuck at work and unable to do clips till Sat" BUMP!

I'll get them done tomorrow. I have to re-adjust the elbow pipes for my SLP's. When the guy installed the Magnaflows, he had to physically move the pipe up and down a little. So now my axlebacks, somewhere by the elbows are making a nice a little rattle. [&:]ughhhh, always something.

They look like the ones Cervinis uses but Cervinis uses the polished SS ones and they are very good looking under the car and sound amazing. Great choice on mid muffler IMO.....

Yep same ones Cervinis uses. Just mine are satin. Now I don't know this for a fact, but from looking at the pictures for Cervinis side exhaust, looks like they use the 14in long one and mine are 22in long. I guess they only come in 3 lengths, 14, 18 & 22.

From my limited exhuast knowledge, the longer of two of the same muffler will have a deeper tone. I guess my Dad could still hear me getting on it 3/4mile away. So at WOT, it don't quiet it up that much, which is good.

Not sure the length on mine but I am sure they are at least 18 inches. I have to change my oil this weekend and told TASSY5 thatI would get some pics of the exhaust while I was underneath the car. I will post them here as well.
