hey guys..

just need your toughts on this..

i thought about doing some foose stripes on my car.. or somethien going over the hood and a little something on the side.. and was wondering about the hood scoop (OEM) and about the GT badges.. would yo remove the badges to lay the stripes, and then put them back on, over the stripes.. seems logical..

any ideas, suggestions, or whatever you think .. let me know..

im thinking that the foose stripes in like a tugsten gray color would look good on my alloy..

I would take the hood scoop and GT emblems off, stripe then re-install. I ordered the 10 in. racing stripes for my Alloy Pony from BSM.Trying to find a good installer to put them on.

i think im going to try to install mine.. but would it look funky with out the scoop being striped?... i dont think i would like it..

Hard to say, I don't think I have seen a photo of one with the stripes over the scoop yet. Seems like the old Boss stripes didn't include the hood scoop if I remember correctly.

I have a after market scoop that I plan to put on after the stripes are on. I'm going with Satin Silver Gloss on mine. I thought about doing my own also, and may wind up doing it myself before it's all over with. I'm having trouble finding an installer in the Atlanta area that has actually installed a set of stripes on a new mustang.

ya.. i dunno.. i just cant imagine leaving the scoop wiht no stripes looking good.. i dunno..

When I was looking into getting my car striped I had the same problem. There are no pictures of mustangs with hood scoops and racing stripes. The only decent pictures I found were at http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/to...-Shelby-GT.htm.

Get a friend to help you hold them out while you squeegee, and have lots of patience. I tried doing mine by myself before and failed miserably.

i think wingman on this forum had his striped and removed the hood scoop before he did it. try a search. i prefer no stripes on the scoop personally.
