Thanks for the tips guys, I'll turn off the TCS and try again.

sw07gt- Didn't get a 60 foot time, I was running a G-tech on an old street in my hometown >.> All it gave me was 1/4 mile time and 1/4 mile MPH

go to a 1/4 track your profile shows your in Gainesville, Fl and don't they have a NHRA national event if so they should have a good track
a good 1/4 track should be preped so you'll get more tracktion if they've preped it

They do have a good track that I'm going to in the next couple of weeks, but I was in my hometown and my bro had the G-tech and I was anxious...plus I wanted to get a little practice in before I hit the track. I'll let you guys know how it goes when I go to the track.

For me I just quickly release it. Enough to get the power to the ground quickly without spinning.

So I should rev to about 2500 RPM and then release the clutch quickly while pushing the gas? I'm going to play around with it some, I'm just trying to get an idea of what the best method is. Thanks.

when i went dragging for my first time, i asked a friend with experience on dragging the s197

he said with stock driveshaft/tires/clutch/(basically everything)......dont launch past 2500, you're only asking for trouble

turn tcs off....burnouts unecessesary with stock tires (although still fun, and you WILL get wheel hop[:@])

lower PSI in rear to 20-25

on the launch rev up to 2500 and just drop the clutch, you might get a little spin, but you can play with it a little and try to raise/lower rpms slightly to fix it

....i ran about 10 times my first day at the track...started the day pulling 15s and brought it all the way down to 14.0
