S A L E E N EXHAUST

Im puttin on a saleen body kit with the exhaust system. I wanted to know if Saleens is louder than stock? I had striaght pipes but i have to put the saleen mufflers on so i wanted to know if they were loud and if i will gain any hp from it at all.

They are magnaflow mufflers so yes I believe they are louder than stock.

Doesn't the Saleen exhaust have dumps in the mufflers that open up at higher rpms? Saleen would be louder and deeper than stock. But I doubt would be as loud as straight pipes.

I have them on mine and they are a little louder than stock,I have the vacuum lines diconnected so the dump valves are open all the time. I don't really like the sound that much so I am trying an O/RX pipe to make it louder. I'll see what it sounds like in a couple of days. If that doesn't make me happy I will cut and weld some new mufflers in, I have seen this done with Flowmasters and it sounded pretty good, cost the guy a couple of hundred to get it done. Oh yeah I am also putting JBA shortie headers on with the X pipe, they should be here tomorrow. One of these combo's has to sound good. Got The X pipe off of Ebay for $79.00 plus shipping and it is SWEEEEET!!!!!
