Default Front speakers don't work

Hi,

This is the first time I post something on the Mustang Formus. So if I forget something to mention don't shoot me.

I recently bought a Mustang with the Shaker1000 sound system into it. Not that I really wanted that but it was already in. Recently I was in the US and I drove one with a Shaker500 into it and I could not really hear the difference between the Shaker1000 and 500.

When I looked to my speakers it sounded like that the front speakers the round once (I don't know the correct name of it) did not produce a nice sound (if they even produced sound anyway). The speaker above it is producing a good sound.

My question now is. Should they produce sound or are they only for the bass? If they should work what could the problem be? And how can I fix it?

Regards PJ

Step through the menue button on the radio and make sure it isn't just set in the "rear seat mode", if it is, just go to "all seats". Could be something as simple as this.

Thanks for the quick reply. Nope I had already checked that. I even tried to put all the sound in the front (did that to check if they were even working) but no result.

The mode is right now set to "all seats"

Well that was also my guess. But I don't know what fuses to check.
Under the hood I can check
- fuse 6 (shaker 1000 radio)
- fuse 9 (shaker 1000 amp)
- fuse 16(shaker 500) - does this one exist? in a shaker1000?

What others do I need to check?

Can you tell me where the one is on the passenger compartment? This because I don't understand what "kick panel" is (yeah my language is not English, in the case you should haven't noticed )

The kick panel is the plastic piece down toward the floor on the right hand side.

The speaker you are talking about is only for bass.

It's called a 'subwoofer'

also reffered to as 'sub', 'woofer', or old people like to call it 'noise'

But is the woofer not in the trunk? So its correct that no music is coming out but only bass.

There's also a setting called "Shaker On/Off". I think this needs to be ON for the front subs to work as well as the back.
