hid kit in stock housing
Hey guys I was wondering if any of you who have HID kit in the stock reflector housing (not the 2008 hid option) have any pics of the light output on the ground and the beam pattern. Also, does a d2r bulb fit into the h13 socket without modifications? Thanks.

The stock housing is designed for the standard filiment OEM bulbsand HIDs in
stock OEM housings is crap because they were not designed for HIDs and blind
other oncoming drivers instead of directing the light onto the road. IMHO [:@]

Hid's are not crap in stock housing, they give alot more visibility at night at I would never switch back to halogen.

RE: hid kit in stock housing
I agree with Triton. While HIDs in headlights designed for HIDs are the most productive, HIDs in our reflector-style housings aren't that bad. I've seen much, much worse. Aside from the beam cut-off for approaching vehicles, the light output for HIDs in reflector-style headlamps is basically the same. While technically not as much light is focused on the road as conventional projectors, it is still 10-fold what halogen bulbs produce and project. Not once have I had an oncoming driver flash me with my HIDs, compared to the numerous times with the stock lights.
