Daunting task if you're not sure and have never tackled something like installing window tint(which is pretty much that same procedure but a different media). Making the measurements correctly will assist in doing the job well, read up on BSM's tutorial. I initially paid to have them installed($350), but I've had to redo the bumpers twice(debris scuffing them) and the bumpers are the hardest part. The hood, roof and decklid are simple in comparison. Just make sure you do them on a 80+ degree day(helps immensely to have warm weather because it allows the stripes to "stretch" easier as you apply them to the car's surface and also aids in removing the bubbling that happens). I need to replace my roof & decklid stripes as they have gotten spotted and won't clean off[:@]. I've met another fellow who has the exact same color and stripes as me(also bought at BSM) and he mentioned that he's redone his stripes 3 times because of spotting(!). I'm gonna get a hold of Rob at BSM and ask why these spots are occurring. I'm thinking I should have applied a good coat of wax to the stripes after installation to ward off any contaminants getting embedded into the vinyl.
Just take your time(allow the entire day & possibly the whole weekend) to finish the install. I took 2 1/2 hours to redo my front bumper(6 pieces), but they came out perfect and didn't bubble up at all.
Best of luck!

me and my uncle have done it twice, on his stang and then mine, we have never installed stripes before that. It is hard if you do it by yourself but if you get 1 or 2 people to help you, you can knock it out in 6-8hrs depending how handy u are. Our first install was 8hrs with pizza and beer breaks, mine was about 5hrs with pizza abd beer. Main thing is take your time, line it up and make sure you keep the stripes wet to be able to move around. The one thing i did hate with the kit was that tranfer tape crap, when you squegee the stripes that tape crap wrinkles and u think your messing up the stripes but it turns out ok, also when you pull the transfer tape off make sure the stripes are semi dry or you'll pull the stripe off, not a big problem because you just put it back on and squegee it but turns into a pain. But after everything even if i messed the stripes up 6 times, it would still be cheaper then having the dealership doing it and have u seen some of the dealership installed stripes.......omg mine turned out 100% better then some i seen.

As has been said above, just don't get in a rush, 1 piece at time. It really isnt hard to do. The big advantage to not getting painted on stripes, is vinyl cost $150, and quality painted on cost $1500ish.

Get someone to help you, and do it yourselves.

patience is the key to putting them on. just have them on my hood, but complete on my wifes car. the only part we had trouble with was getting the stripes on the spoiler tolook right so we gave up and left them off.
