Last summer I found sallen S281 supercharged for 41k. GT with KB supercharger is gonna cost u around 35, only thing performancewise is u don't get 275 tires with it, no 14 inch brakes, no saleen suspension and no saleen resale value. add those things to a KB GT and you're close to 40k after a lot of hassle. I say saleen all the way.

If money isn't an object, there's no better starting point than the Shelby. 5.4 liters FTW

GT w/ Kenne Bell for performance/racing
I'd say Shelby for cruising/show/collectability in the future. Sounds like more fun can be had with the GT/KB stup, the Shelby (assuming you're talking about the Shelby GT) to me is way overpriced for what you're getting (not much), you can duplicate that car for cheaper with FRPP parts. of course it won't be an official Shelby with a CSM number! How ever, many years from now, the Shelby will be a nice, valued car to have, while the GT/KB car will just be an old, modded hot rod. Depends what you're into. |
