Thanks for including the image. I brought a copy of it to the dealership, they put the bolts on in 5 minutes and the rattle is gone. I really appreciate the effort people make here to help each other out!

Thanks again.

I attached a picture of where the missing bolts are. Of corse mine are there now. This should give you a better idea where to look.[IMG][/IMG]

Hi Casper, I am a newbie here and wondering about this rattle.

ON my 2005 GT I hear this thrumming that feels like it is coming from the shift boot (manual tranny) so I put some lexol on the shifter boot thinking it was just not moist enough and was creaking. That didn't work. I was thinking that maybe it is the same noise, ths ony thing is it is not loud, but more of a thrumming in the first two gears, then it is gone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

its probably just back pressure that is built up when the engine is first fired up that is flowing through the exhaust causing it to rattle..that is why it goes away after a minute or so id imagine

Casper,
I've got the same rattle described in the thread, but when I looked at the plate the bottom two bolts were installed. When I followed the plate all the way around I noticed on the drivers side of it, just above where you pointed out the bolt in your pic, there are two empty holes there. Should there also be bolts in those?
