Am I a poser
I've got a 07 v6 that I'm starting to convert to a eleanor along with the body kit I'll be adding a reworked ( ported polished and 3 angle valve cut) set of heads and x-charger.I'm even building my own exhaust and muffler for added ground clearance. I'm not looking to race it at the track but would like to take it to a tire roast once and a while. I know a lot of you will say why not get a GT but for what I paid for the 6 I can convert it for less than a stock GT , doing all the work ,machining the heads ,welding the exh. and all the paint work, myself. Also can someone tell me if a 8.8 GT rear end comes with a t-loc ?

I don't think you would be a poser, I actually think the guys who make their v-6 as fast or faster than a GT deserve an ovation, but from a money stand point you could do this,

Sounds like a cool project. I would really like to see pictures if you get it off the ground. It doesn't really upset me when people make their V6 look like a GT. There are some people that have Cobra badges on their GT's, just because they like the badge. That's fine. Now, if you went around telling people that you had something you didn't, that would probably make you a poser...
Still, the logic follows the the usual defense for upgrading the V6: it is cheaper than the GT. Obviously, if you start with a GT, and modify that, then you're going to be faster than a modified V6.
What gets me, though, is the price difference is usually pretty small about $5k or so. Why not just start with a used GT? If you can't afford $5k, then can you really afford to plunk down $10k in modificatons on a $15k car?
