I had a S197 coupe & traded for the vert - no regrets!! Yes the coupe has better lines than the vert with the roof up - but who puts the roof up??

I love the look with the top up, it reminds me of the lines of my 68 coupe.

Hardtop vert? Not trying to call BS on you or anything, but I'd like to see some facts/articles to back that up. I just don't see Ford or Chevy (new Camaro) doing a hardtop vert because wouldnâ€™t there be a decent amount of extra weight (not to mention price) associated with it? Iâ€™d think youâ€™d still need the chassis stiffness to compensate for when the top is down, but youâ€™d have the weight of a hardtop over cloth top. Same reason, IMHO, you donâ€™t see Corvettes or Porches with hardtop verts.

i love em with the top down and a light bar, lowered and some aftermarket wheels. if i could id buy a vert and keep my hard top too! fun as hell and look amazing with the right mods. light bar is a must. lookin good you guys! heres a question...how many of you vert guys are auto/manual?

I felt the same way untilI got my first one...With the black on black you can't tell it's a vert till you get next to it. Nothing beats cruising the beach with the top down though. I won't ever go back!

both of my ponies are autos - I'm a manual gearbox fan but can't get my head around shifting with the, for me anyway, wrong hand, it takes the fun out of it when you open the door instead of change gear
