Blown cammer into 05 GT 5spd stick ??
OK,
So I have had the new GT for only a month, almost 900 miles now. It has snowed to much to suit me, the last few weeks, she stays in the garage. My other mustangs were years ago, and were 6's. What I do know now, is the V8 5spd stick, has really got me interested in a high horse power, good handling car. There are several people from work who do the weekend road racing hobby, and I must say I am very interested now in giving it a try. Most run Z06's, Porsche's, tuner cars, S2000, M3, etc. I think there is some Tang action from a few Kenny Brown Preformance cars (local here, Indy) but not many Fords from work.
I would like to do the do it yourself, 05 GT killer. From the reading I have done, a cammer with a blower rocks. So, should I start with an 05 6's, and do it all, or my current GT. Body add on's, handling, wheels, and the drivetrain. All in the plan. I need your expert advice on, what is a bolt in, computer, wiring harness etc. I have no clue what will slip into the 05 engine compartment.
The end product should be a stang in the range of the 05 Saleen extreme, for a lot less money, if I do the work myself. Plus, as I understand it, all 05 E cars are spoken for. I know it might take a bit of research to reply, but I am serious about this build. In the next two months, I will sell my 94 Harley FXR, which is title free, and start the mod the 05, fund. While I built my own 440 cu.in 6 pk, for my last pro-street ride, I will do some type of crate engine, or at least a long block, for the pony.

Thanks, I am finally at a point in my life where I can consider a project in this $$ range. Always had to work for it $$.
Maybe, the only good thing about getting older, I can think of. I just hope I get some good ideas here, and put a plan together before my eyesight fails !!
