transmission and cold weather
doesanyone elses tranny seem to need to warm up before it will run smoothly? or maybe its the clutch that needs to warm up, ethier way does shifting seem better once shes warmed up, mind you i have a manual. Or do i ned to get it checked out?
for a idea of what i am talking about , putting it in gear i get like a gritty feeling in the gear box. but after it warms up it doesnt do it.
also does any ones car rock back and forth (or more of a jump forward) sometimes? usually is first or second and its usually going no more then 15 or 20 mph, and know i am not about to stalk and no i dont have the clutch pressed in my foot is completly off the clutch. so what am i doin wrong or whats wrong with my car?

you are correct, really the entire car needs to warm up, any car for that matter. The fluids need to get up to operating temperature before they properly lubricate, the exhaust needs to warm up because when it is cold, and you run hot exhaust through it, thats a big temp change, many time you will hear it "popping" when its cold.

yeah same here. the "jumping forward" thing doesnt' seem to happen if i sit in the car for 30 seconds or more while its running. but it depends. noramlly i get in, start it up, get all my stuff moved...(normally my sun glasses are on the shifter, dont need those in the morning), change radio station...if need be get the ice off the windows (not yet this year). i'm not one to let the car "warm up" for 10 minutes...mostly because i live at an apartment complex and i'm pretty sure whoever steals my car wouldn't treat it as well as i do haha, and screw sitting in a cold car for 10 minutes not going anywhere.
