Performance gain with alum. flywheel and slave question?

Performance gain with alum. flywheel and slave question?
Can anyone give an opinion on the price -> performance worthiness of an aluminum flywheel? Fidanza's is 12lbs I think, stock is what, 28lbs? Anyone tried one and felt a difference?
Also.... The 'throw out' bearing is actually bought OEM from Ford as the 'slave cylinder' right?
