hey guys, i found a shop here that has a used saleen s/c for sale and said they would install it and custom dyno tune it for a total of $6500. is this too much for a used supercharger?

Way too much for a used saleen. Buy a used kit for 3-3500. Install around 800 and a maybe 200 for a custom dyno tune. $4500 out the door tops. I don't know if many people have good luck buying used superchargers.

ST motorsports can give u a similiar deal for a new one installed and dyno'd

yeah but its in canada. if theres a place around dakota that could give me a good deal then its ok, but i dont know of any decent shops near the border that i could drive down to. brenspeed is 14 hours away which is a bit much

Man take some Vac. time make the 14 hour drive. Kickit with some of the fourm member in that area till your car is done and then drive back home just taking it easy for a break in and as soon as you cross the border put your foot to the floor.... that simple..

well thats not a horrible idea. and i hear the guys at brenspeed are pretty awesome and i assume because they do so much business they are prolly great at the installs and tunes. maybe ill keep that in mind and drive down there after the spring thaw
