Default Stupid question but...

I just want to make sure and not damage the car or myself...I need to attach a power wire to the positive side of my battery, and a ground to the negative or some other ground. Lets say I'm attaching both to the battery, how do I do this correctly?

Not sure exactly what you are asking- but safe common practice is to disconnect the ground first and reconnect the ground last. This reduces the chance of sparks/arcing.
