thanks for the info...i was wondering why 8$ worth of premium fuel filled up an empty tank

Why do you put premium fuel in a car that is designed for regular unleaded?

because the computer has been reflashed to use premium fuel

What advantage does this have? I don't understand why you would want to pay higher gas prices if Ford designed it to use regualar unleaded fuel.

Hi all,

Dropped mine off at the dealership I purchased it from a week ago on 3/12. All they asked was if I have had problems filling up. I said that at the Chevron near my house it was a pain in the @$$. Only put in $10 worth as a result. They pulled up the TSB without me having to tell them there was one. So, the dealerships should have this info available to them now. [sm=groupwave.gif]

As for the different pump types, I have also filled up at a Safeway station here in Northen CA and it filled with out having any problems at all. The Chevron was about 3 years old and the Safeway less than a year. The Chevron pumps did have the full on vacum seal but the Safeway had these new really lightweight units. Go figure.
