I just went on Ford's Media page and they said they modified the H pipe and put all new muffers on the car. If anyone gets a sound bite of this thing running, could you please post it? I want to know if it sounds like Steve McQueen's Mustang. Thanks.

The press release made a comment that they studied the original movie and tried to get that sound for the car. I'm not going to hold my breath but I would like to hear what this new exhaust sounds like. I was set to get some Corsa mufflers for Christmas, but I'll wait to hear this setup.

yeh they chopped off the h, spliced in the ford racing x pipe, and then they use the gta mufflers. check ninosport.com for them , I think they have a link to a clip from their page to sell the mufflers. Also, check the v8 exhaust section, or search the tube thats for you

I read somewhere that the original sound track for the car in Bullitt was recorded off a NASCAR race car. McQueen did not use the sound from the mustang. Movies sound people can always make the "perfect" sound,movies are not the real world.

Here is a link with a little of what this exhaust sounds like. I'm not impressed. Also, I love how the Paul Randel says the car is real race track friendly after they showed the car plowing harder than a dump truck.

So, they installed a new exhaust, gear,CAI and custom tune, removed everything the GT has making it look plainjane so they can charge more for it. I wasn't impressed. The previous Bullit was better looking,I obviouslylike the S197 better than the New Edge but in this version, they did it wrong.
