Default Good price on hood scoop paint/install?

The body shop that has my car this week is also going to paint and install a Ford OEM hood scoop for me while doing my other repairs (I ordered the hood scoop myself and brought it to them with all the templates and bolts). They quoted me $185 for painting it plus installation...that sounds likea good deal to me but then again, I'm pretty clueless about body work. Thought I'd get you all's expert opinions on it. Good deal? Great? Horrible, I'm getting hosed? Thx.

The install on scoops is really easy, so most of what you're paying for is painting. Additionally, if they do it, they warranty it (especially the paint), so there is a plus. Doesn't sound like a horrible price, but you could possibly do betteralthough I don't think by much. What you would save shopping around may buy you dinner, not much else. If you feel good about the price, go with it.

I agree with the above. Even though it's an easy install, I have seen some folks pay more than that just for the paint....Why not leave the headache and heartache of drilling the hood.... to them??

When I painted my GT front end paint alone ran me 100.
