Default Cervini's C-Series Scoops Installed.

To be perfectly honest. I wasn't that impressed with Cervini's parts. Here's why:

- They don't fit perfect
- The Urethane they are made of sucks up paint like a sponge, and needs to be primed like 2 or 3 times and painted 2 or 3 times
- The instructions and supplies to do the project are very mimimal and leave some to figure out.

Which is wierd, because most people on this forum rave about Cervini's products, so I assumed they would be fantastic.
It could just be that...

- I'm not used to the "After-market" parts quality, and this is as good as it gets?
- Or maybe I've just gotten part of a bad batch or something?

At any rate I will say this:

- The edgy sexy look that Cervini's gives you can't be gotten anywhere else. They make the most beautiful parts on the market, and many of the competitors parts are very boring.

Here's the paint touch up I did:

And Here's the Scoops installed:

Oh BTW I got these from Stage3Motorsports and I highly reccomend. Very fast delivery and great customer service.

What do you mean they didn't fit perfectly? What about them didn't fit? Mine fit great! Didn't you put that screen in the opening for those upper scoops? As far as the urethane sucking up paint, it sounds like you didn't follow their preparation recommendations. Maybe you didn't receive those instructions from the reseller you bought them from? When I ordered my C series kit, the tech guy told me very seriously to be sure to follow their instructions for preparation exactly or there would be problems with the paint. The urethane is very greasy to start but if you follow their instructions it works perfectly. -Joe

hmmmmm. well i wasn't the one who painted them so, you might be right.

As far as the fit, it's not really flush with the car. Especially in the front, the bottom of the scoop is sticking out like a half inch.

Sounds like a poor tape job.
I'm inclined to believe that since it sounds like the painter wasn't exactly sure they knew what they were doing.

Sounds like a poor tape job.
I put the tape on just where it said, and positioned it for like 5 minutes before I removed the tape cover and planted it.

It looks I tried to put a flat part on a round surface. It's bowing out on both sides and sticking in the middle.

Any Ideas?

Sounds like the urethane is distorted then. Should have done a test fit prior to painting. Mine were fine.
