RE: tuner adjustments

I would only buy tuner from a reputable tuner that will set it up for your car, yes you can modify for gears & tires. Good tuners are Brenspeed, Evolution Peformance, B A M A Chips, JDM, and many others.

Its going to depend on the Tuner and who you buy it from. In my case, I purchased the SCT XCal2 tuner from Brenspeed.com. This Tuner can hold your stock tune (automatically saves it the first time you use the tuner) and 3 custom tunes. Brenspeed included three tunes for different octanes: 87, 91, 93 (you can discuss with them to get other than these). Regards the wheels and gears - the XCal2 allows you to adjust those on your own, you tell the turner the rear end ratio and the # rev/mile for your tires and it will adjust the car's computer.

Other Tuners probably do the same, I'm not sure.

Onederful - how do you like that Livewire unit? Its a pricy unit, do you find yourself using it enough to justify the cost? Do you use it on a day-to-day basis? Thanks.
