Honestly a 281 cubic inch v8 is pretty small. Look at all of GM's RWD based v8's, they don't have anything that small anymore.
The least they could do for a Bullitt is put a 4v 4.6 liter, or SOMETHING significant. Something that would give the incentive to buy it over the regular GT.
The bullits are probably going to cost 10,000$ more than the regular GT...

That is where the problem is.....hell i wouldnt mind getting one if it was only 31k.....hell, i paid almost that for my GT in early 05 when they were hard to get what you wanted....BUT these will surely be marked up like any other special edition and therefore lose the value to alot of people.

well, the new camaro doesnt even exist yet, and there's no V6 option for the new camaro, and its going to cost upper 30's, low 40's, so gimme 8 grand to put into my mustang and then I'm only at 35 and guarantee ill kick the new camaro's *** for less than it costs....

That's like saying the new twenty dollar bills are frauds because they don't pay homage to the originals!
Ford made it. They own the right to the name... not sure how it's fraud.
I wonder if you watched the interview with the Ford people who talked about the Bullitt and what their intentions were.
They wanted a streetable car that was low profile. They made a good deal of modifications to the GT. And they want to sell 7,700 of the Bullitts. You're going to have a hard time doing that and giving it all the horsepower you want. Besides, there is the GT500 out there. Or should they have turned that into the Bullitt?
Maybe we need a race between the original and the S197 Bullitts to see which is the better car...

as rare as the bullits gonna be it should have atleast 335hp and 345tq with the same msrp. Ahhhh in a perfect world. Dont count FORD out I cant wait to see what they roll out with in 09!! Its right around the corner. P.S.
