I hate to say it but that has to be the most unappealing looking Mustang Ford has come up. The only thing that has from the factory that I wish my GTcame withis the 3:73 rear end.

I love it also, but I would have put some 17 inch rims and quarter window louvers.

6500rpms rev limiters? They make it sound like they did something special to get the engine to rev that high. What a bunch of bull****! There 0-60 times and 1/4 times suck *** as well. I must say the 2001 bullit looks better and it's probably quicker.

What's with Ford chief engineer having an Australian accent or was that British?

What? How can a car with 50 less hp(and 3.27s vs 3.73s) be faster? 200 or so more pounds less
won't cut it either as an argument. As for better looking, I wish good 'ol Steve McQueen was alive to have a say about that assessment.
While the new Bullitt has many people saying negative comments, the 2001 was about 7-8 grand dearer than a standard GT back then($24K vs $31K) and the '08 model will cost around that( at MSRP, that is). How can we blame Ford for what the open market has dictated? A $31K Bullitt versus a loaded automatic, nav, heated seats, two-tone leather & HID equippedCa Special for $34K is a great deal IMO, because that Bullitt will hold it's value better in the long run and will always be unique.
Say what you will, but I think Ford did a better job on this carthan with the first Bullitt(weak 2V engine, lousy suspension upgrades), other than using the Mach 1/Cobra front brakes and unique intake(to mask the lousy breathing of the original GT intake) it was just a cosmetic package based on a very tired/outdated platform. The new car has a properly tuned and lowered suspension, CAI/tune, increased rpm range, GT500 seats & steering wheel and that hot engine-turned dash panel. Yes, some cosmetics too, but I'm pretty sure that an '08 Bullitt would embarrass an '01 edition head to head for less money(in today's dollars), of course before the dealer gouging(which isn't Ford's fault).
I like it!
