If he was driving around with low tire pressure, his data on his dashboard would have chimed in saying, "Low Tire Pressure."

You guys are skeptical and I understand why, but if he hit a curb going 20 miles per hour, it should not have done that much damage unless he "plowed" into it. He said he hit the curb and the fire hydrant after his tire blew. It's not uncommon to have a defective tire. Heck, I just changed a tire on my E-350 because I noticed the van seemed to shake a little. There was a bulge in the tire.

I just have this Simpsons-esque image of him going wildy out of control at 20mph after a tire "blow out" and taking out tress, curbs, telephone boxes etc etc

On a serious note, you do realise Dude that if you drove it at 20mph into a curb with NO tire on it, you wouldn't do that much damage, right?

You know how fast or what the circumstances of the incident were, and it's over now, so just treat it as a learning episode.

Wow u guys are being douchebags... hes asking for help, ideas of what could have happened. I had a subaru WRX and i was in the rain, going below 20 hit curb and my car damage looked like his. Its very possible that like he said his car tire went out and then he hit a curb. And if u dont believe my story or his keep it to your ****ing self and dont be an ***.
btw i actually did 4k damage to the bottom/tire of my subaru. it sucked

05slpGT and the others that are aiding me instead of bashing me for "making up a story to cover my drifting accident" or whatever else you believe, thanks guys, i'll keep you updated. It looks as if they will be replacing my front bumper, passenger side front fender, and pass. rocker panels, along with a full set of wheels. I'm considering a GT500 front end as he said if i paid the diff. between my OEM and the Shelby part, they'
ll paint and install it no problem Obviously new controls arm & tie rod and whatever other mech. parts that new replacement will also be fixed.

This kind of damage at 20mph IS POSSIBLE!!

I did the exact same thing with my Maxima in the snow. Slide straight into a curb at less than 15 mph. Pushed the driver side front tire all the way into the back of the fender. $1500 plus in damages. The tire and rim were undamaged, but I destroyed the drive shaft, control arm, lower strut mount, etc.

The OP just needs to admit they hit a curb.
