Yes, it does. One thing that was never mentioned was the hotness of the girl friend. I want to know details and possible distractions in a time like this.

This kind of damage at 20mph IS POSSIBLE!!

I did the exact same thing with my Maxima in the snow. Slide straight into a curb at less than 15 mph. Pushed the driver side front tire all the way into the back of the fender. $1500 plus in damages. The tire and rim were undamaged, but I destroyed the drive shaft, control arm, lower strut mount, etc.

The OP just needs to admit they hit a curb.
Wow, this thread has had some turns in it... people start bashing him then he says ford claims defect then the attitudes change ROFL... BMR, My wife has an 04 maxima and I was coming home one night late from the bar ( I was DD) ha ha, Im coming down this poorly lit4 lane about 3 am doing about 45 and there is this total dark spot where theres a gap in the street lights, see something in the road but at the time I saw it, it was to late to slowdown and I couldnt drive around it because it covered my 2 lanes and the turning lane, So I plow over the stuff and something gets stuck under the car, I literly had to drive up on the curb to get it out from under the car... Turns out it was some of those big *** riff raff rocks they put out beside highways to keep from hills from washing out.. It ended up doing almost 5 grand worth of damage, had to have a new subframe, new exhaust and it bent one wheel. Now all this was at less than 45, I can imagine hitting a curb with a flat at 20 or 25 mph's...Luckily it was considered road hazard and insurance covered it...

I am glad everything worked out for you. I said earlier that if you were telling the truth Ford would find a defect in the outer rim of the wheel.

I'll post pics when i get it back, thanks for the help, if someone didn't mention a wheel defect i would of never brought it up and ford probably never would have caught it, so thanks
