This kind of damage at 20mph IS POSSIBLE!!
I did the exact same thing with my Maxima in the snow. Slide straight into a curb at less than 15 mph. Pushed the driver side front tire all the way into the back of the fender. $1500 plus in damages. The tire and rim were undamaged, but I destroyed the drive shaft, control arm, lower strut mount, etc.
The OP just needs to admit they hit a curb.

I'll post pics when i get it back, thanks for the help, if someone didn't mention a wheel defect i would of never brought it up and ford probably never would have caught it, so thanks
