I have orange in mine to match my orange my color. I actually like them better then the stock ones. When they're on while driving they are not blinding. And you can still read using them. Hope the red ones work out just as good. I used to work on the mustangs that Malboro racing school uses and they Just out red plastic and the inside of theirs. I like the red.

I don't see anything wrong with it. You'll loose some of the effectiveness of your interior lighting but it might look good. No harm in trying it that's for sure.

reminds me of when my buddy had his excursion last christmas, and we put christmas lights all over it.. inside and out.. and he had a hugeeeee system, and we would go down town where all the clubs are and just make noise and luagh at all the ppl lookin at the car and it was just funny.. he went through like 3 ac-dc converters bc they kept overheating from the load.. lol

Hell yea, go for it. I think it will be fine. When I was an aircrewman, that is the color we used to keep our night vision from being ruined.

my Audi had them built into the rear view mirror, two red LEDs that were illuminated all the time...it was a nice accent at night, with its red gauges.
